HAPPY 110th BIRTHDAY
The LKAL Legacy, LLC was created in April 2022 to update the1982 book,
BLACKS IN THE HISTORY OF FASHION. In collectively broadening the
historical foundation of the late Lois K. Alexander-Lane’s mission to raise
and expand the cultural consciousness and acknowledgment of the
contributions by people of the African Diaspora to the trade of fashion, it is
timely to amplify this message thru public programs and future book sales.
Lois K Alexander-Lane (1916-2007), Founder & Director of the Harlem
